Simulation of Artificial Social Systems

By means of computer simulation, artificial social systems are developed. We use these artificial social systems to test the way specific social mechanism influence a whole system. The very advantage of simulations is that single parameters can be modified systematically. Additionally, using computer simulation is a not only a promising option to merely study the action of human actors. It also proves successful in the analysis of hybrid systems of human participants and artificial agents. Hence, it is a meaningful complement for other methods of sociological research.
